In my therapeutic work, a special focus lies in working on "schemas" that we acquire in our lives and that significantly influence our thoughts, feelings, and actions. In therapy, you learn to develop an awareness of your schemas, perceive your needs, and implement them in a way that corresponds to your values. Accompanying mindfulness methods can promote awareness of inner processes and help you to take responsibility for your well-being.
My methodical focus areas are:
Schema therapy (Young, Grawe)
Emotion-focused therapy (Greenberg)
Mindfulness-based interventions (MBSR, MBCT, self compassion, trauma informed mindfulness)
My treatment focus areas are:
Depression
Anxiety disorders
Difficulties with emotion regulation (e.g., addictive behavior, eating behavior such as binge eating)
Eating disorders
Burnout, exhaustion
Personality disorders
Psychosomatic disease
Self-esteem issues
Life crises and reorientation (separation, bereavement, bullying, migration)
I work "transdiagnostically. " Together, we identify central core processes that underlie various symptoms and strive for individualized treatment.
This transdiagnostic perspective helps us to better understand the complexity surrounding the simultaneous existence of different diagnoses (so-called comorbidities) with various symptoms and to develop a holistic perspective regarding the treatment method.
